Christina Elizabeth “Betty” Gordon
October 9, 1927 – September 10, 2023
We are saddened to share that Christina Elizabeth (“Betty”) Gordon (née Campbell) passed away peacefully on September 10, 2023, in Brockville, Ontario.
Betty was deeply loved by her daughters Linda (Greg Powell), Dianne (John Vanstone), and Karen, a proud and loving grandmother of Adam, Nate, Cailin, Lindsay, Madeleine, Katie, Chris and Steph and great-grandmother of Sullivan and Rosie, and held dear by her brother-in-law Stuart Gordon. Betty was predeceased by her husband Kenneth Ian Gordon, her daughter Karen, and her granddaughter Steph.
Mom cherished her very special places – Dunany, Lachute, and Brockville. Her love for her family and friends, coupled with her gardening flair, bridge savvy, and involvement with her community were foundational to an active, caring life.
We wish to express our heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Wedgewood Retirement Residence and Mom’s care companion Brenda Van Dusen.
We are consoled that Mom has quietly found her place of rest. Interment will take place in Lachute, with a future celebration of life to be held in Dunany, Quebec. Please care for a special flower in her memory and nurture it as she did all of us.
Charitable donations to the Brockville General Hospital, Brockville, Ontario and St. Paul’s Church, Dunany, Quebec will be gratefully acknowledged.
