Obituary

Entered into rest peacefully at the Brockville General Hospital on Saturday, January 25, 2020. Charles B. Dye, in his 86th year. Beloved husband of Isabel (Sly) and dear father of Lynne Sheffield (Roger), Karen Syptak (Peter) and Greg. Predeceased by his daughter Laurie Dye. Loving grandfather of Aaron Fitzgibbon (Michelle), Lauren Fitzgibbon, Joe Sheffield (Melissa) and Kyra Dye. Cherished great grandfather of Joshua and Kelci Fitzgibbon and Quinn Sheffield. Dear brother of Jim Dye (Shirley) and Peter Dye (Maude). Brother-in-law of Ray Levia, Shirley Mainse (Kent) and Carol Sly. Predeceased by his beloved sister Louise (Polly) Levia as well as his brother-in-law Murven Sly.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Thursday, January 30, 2020 from 1 until 3 pm when a service will be held in the chapel at 3 o'clock. A family interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Maitland. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer Society Lanark Leeds Grenville will be gratefully acknowledged. Heartfelt condolences to the family. Worked with Chuck for almost 30 years.. a great guy, many laughs and he was a pleasure to work with. He will be sadly missed.

My deepest condolences to Brother Jim as well The Dye family chuck may of left the earth however sits at our father house now. Take comfort one day you'll see one another again.

Lynn,
I was so sorry to read this news about your Dad. Charlie and I shared many laughs and great conversations back in the Automatic Electric/Microtel days. Charlie always called it as he saw it and I respected him a great deal. People like your Dad helped shape people like me. He was willing to share his wisdom and knowledge and it was always peppered with some humour. Please know that you and your family are in my thoughts in the coming days. Kindest regards.
