Obituary

------------------------------------------

After a courageous battle with cancer, Brian passed away at home, at the age of 26. Brian really wanted to say, “I beat Cancer”. The dignity, courage and grace he displayed every step of this journey leaves absolutely no doubt about who the victor was. Leukemia did not defeat Brian.

Brian Patrick Fraser is the beloved son of Rick and Sheila Fraser and is forever the big brother of Tait and Ian. He is predeceased by his grandparents, John and Margaret Currie, Diane Fraser, Alex and Ila Fraser and by his aunt, Ann Currie. Brian leaves behind a family that meant the world to him. He is survived by his uncle, Chris Cullen (cousins Craig Cullen (Sydney and Lennon) and Rob Cullen (Melany, Isla and Ivy) his aunt, Cathy Cullen and by his uncle, Grant Fraser, (cousins Ben and Lucas Fraser). He will be missed by Donna Foster (late Lloyd) and her family, and by his Godmother, Pat Doleman (Ted) and their family. Brian is the nephew and Godchild of Sharon (Stephen) Speagle and cherished cousin of Amy, Molly Kate (Craig Johnston, Everley and Jack), Kelly Ann and Patrick Speagle.

Due to Covid restrictions, there will be no visitation and a private graveside service will be held. The family is grateful for the compassion and care Brian received at the Ottawa General Hospital, Brockville General Hospital and in Palliative Care at home with the wonderful Bayshore team. The support of our friends and Brian’s Bell Media family, our CDSBEO colleagues, St. John Bosco Parish and countless anonymous blood donors will always be remembered with gratitude.
