Obituary for Amy Naomi Gibson

Amy Naomi Gibson 1930 - 2022 Passed away peacefully in Belleville General Hospital with her nieces Karen Sterling and Cindy Vance by her side.

Survived by her son Donald Gibson (Brenda). Wife of late John Gibson of Brockville, Ontario

Sister of John, Fred, William, Frank, Ellen (all pre-deceased). Aunt to numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.

Amy was born in Montreal where she met and married John, her husband of 58 years. Together they had their son, Donald in 1955. Known as "everyones aunt” Amy lived a full life with a career as an administrative assistant and working mother. The family moved to Brampton, Ontario. Upon retirement Amy and John moved to Belleville and then to Brockville. Niece Donna Grey (Donovan) was always there to help Amy and John with companionship and health issues. Amy moved to Quinte Gardens Retirement residence in Belleville where she lived for the past four years. She received loving and caring support from Cindy, Karen, Jane and Donna on a daily basis. She will be dearly missed by friends and family across Southern Ontario.

Amy enjoyed dancing and socializing and loved dogs of all kinds. She was very creative with her painting and quilt making. She loved to shop at Home Sense with her nieces and enjoyed decorating her apartment.

A memorial service, inurnment and reception will be held at the Irvine Memorial Chapel at Roselawn, 2451 County Rd 15, Maitland, ON on Wednesday November 30th, 2022 at 11: 30 a.m. Family and friends are welcome to attend.
