“We sadly announce that we have lost a dearly loved member of our family. Alex Thum passed away at Kingston General Hospital on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, at age 86. He will be greatly missed by his partner Carole (Strader) Ferris, and her sons Mike Ferris (wife Jennifer Burns, daughters Zoe and Ruby Ferris), of Brockville, and Scott Ferris of Brisbane, Australia (wife Jodie Bain and sons Jallan and Kaden Ferris). Also survived by brothers-in-law Allan Strader (Peggy) and Robert Strader (Carol), and the families of his niece and nephew in his home country of Germany. Alex was predeceased by his cherished wife, Yolande (Beaudry) Thum. Cremation has taken place and there will be no service, as was his wish. Heartfelt thanks to dear friends for your immense kindness. It has meant so much.”
