Bea passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Brockville General Hospital, Garden Street Site on October 28 2014, at the age of 82. She was the beloved wife of George Smith for 58 years and devoted mother of Tim (Barb) of Smiths Falls and Kevin (Carolyn) of Lyn. She was a cherished grandmother to Christina, Tyler, Brooke Brandy and great grandmother to Jordan, Emma, Elisabeth, Joshawa and Denali. She will also be missed by sister in laws Winona Ireland of Mallorytown and Elaine Ireland of Charleston Lake, and brother in laws Tom Wilson, Larry Lameront and Gordon H McCrady all of Brockville. Several nieces and nephews, and all her family and friends will remember her. Predeceased by her parents Wilfred and Esther (Armstrong) Ireland, sisters Marion in infancy, Marlene Sands, Doris Wilson, Yvonne Lameront and brothers Ray, Glen, Donald Ireland.

Bea had a great passion for life and was genuinely interested in people and dedicated so much of her life to looking after her family and close friends when called upon. She retired from the Smiths Falls Hospital in 1992 after 30years as the head nurse. She will be missed many friends especially her classmates who still get together once a month.

A Service in Memory of Bea will be held in the Irvine Memorial Chapel at Roselawn, 2451 County Road 15, Maitland on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at 2:00 pm.
