I was very sorry to hear about Ruth. I used to drive Ruth to The Newcomers meeting many years ago. She was always a pleasant lady and I enjoyed our conversations. I know you will miss her dearly.

It is with sadness that I read your news. Your mom meant a lot to me. These words are difficult to write.. She was a great friend.. I loved her vivaciousness, her laughter, and her love of life; she was a wonderful lady and we celebrate the woman she was and the life she lived to the fullest. -- We shared many stories over the years of her time in Germany, then in Montreal, to later move to ‘the farm’ where she loved it very much.. She missed your dad very much; he was her loving partner throughout her life. Our last get-together in her home was just before I moved east.. I asked her if she ever had Sushi, she said "No, but I'll try it!". It was her first time eating Sushi and she loved it.. I loved her enthusiasm! -- In the fall of 2016, I visited with Ruth at Bridlewood, and with you at the store, when I stopped briefly at Brockville after a military conference at Ottawa.

It is with heartfelt sympathy that we remember a lady so well-loved and a life so very well-lived. We know that heaven will soon rejoice in her laughter and appreciate her decadent German Chocolate cake! -- Ruth will be sorely missed.. I will cherish the fond memories of our long friendship.. May it comfort you to know that many, including us, share your loss.
